Mission Statement

Richmond Metro Basketball Club (“Richmond Metro”) is an AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) non-profit 501-C organization. The purpose of the organization is to provide the youth of the Richmond Metropolitan area and surrounding counties, regardless of race, color, or creed the opportunity to participate in a safe controlled athletic environment, learn responsibility, positive sportsmanship, fair play, a sense of pride, team work, working with others, dealing well with adversity , a focus on academic growth and athletic development. These are traits that can be carried over into all aspects of their lives. The coaching staff gives voluntary supervision with emphasis on mentorship, academic excellence, and recreational activities as a diversion to at-risk behavior. They place the welfare of the youth first and foremost.
